About the Team

The Data Science team is a global, full-stack data team that plays an important role in empowering and driving the growth of TikTok Shop. Through impactful data insights and data products, the team focuses on areas such as metrics development, product, operation, algorithm improvement, data infrastructure, and data product development. The team enables informed decision-making and helps optimize the performance and effectiveness of TikTok Shop.

We are looking for talented individuals to join our team in 2026. As a graduate, you will have opportunities to pursue bold ideas, tackle complex challenges, and unlock limitless growth. Successful candidates must be able to commit to an onboarding date by the end of 2026. Please state your availability and graduation date clearly in your resume. Online Assessment

Candidates who pass resume screening will be invited to participate in TikTok's technical online assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business Operations, Product, Algorithms, Strategy, and Engineering teams to build data solutions for critical business problems and find new opportunities for growth.
  • Conduct insightful analysis to drive business impact. Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with clear objectives in mind.
  • Serve as lead data strategist to identify and integrate new datasets that can be leveraged through our product capabilities, and work closely with the engineering team in the development of data products.
  • Research and devise innovative statistical models and analytical experiments (A/B tests) for data analysis, staying current with technical and industry developments.
  • Utilize algorithms and models to mine big-data stores; perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.
  • Adopt AI in daily workstreams and build AI data solutions for automated and scalable analysis.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above; computer science, statistics, mathematics, or other related majors preferred. English can be used as a working language.
  • Skilled in SQL, Excel, and at least one scripting language such as Python; familiar with common statistical and analytical methods.
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork spirit, and initiative.
  • Strong logical thinking ability, business interpretation ability, and fast learning ability.
  • Sensitivity to numbers and passion for data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship experience in Data Science or Data Analyst roles.
