As an AI Platform Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable intelligence that drives product innovation and business strategy.
Your work will involve designing predictive models, conducting large-scale experiments, and uncovering insights that inform decision-making. Additionally, you will define and develop ontologies and knowledge graphs to connect and contextualize enterprise data, ensuring it is structured and meaningful. Collaborating closely with engineers and domain experts, you will establish data standards, maintain data quality, and operationalize models and graph services at scale. Your contributions will accelerate innovation, enhance client experiences, and enable faster, more confident decision-making across the platform.
As a member of the Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) team, you will focus on delivering and scaling AI solutions by embedding into cross-functional teams of clients or consultants to realize tangible business value. You will deploy assets on client service teams and return to refine and shape those assets further. Your role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a generative AI product with firm-wide impact. You will join a high-priority initiative alongside a team of data scientists, engineers, designers, and product managers, leveraging cutting-edge technology to revolutionize knowledge research and synthesis. Your work will enable firm members to craft impactful stories effortlessly by utilizing multimodal large language models (LLMs) and generative AI technologies.
In this role, you will conduct hands-on experiments and deploy production pipelines that leverage generative models, such as GPT-like systems, to automate knowledge search, curation, and synthesis processes. This will involve tasks such as model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and iteration, with a focus on enhancing creativity and content generation. You will also deploy solutions across various cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, while troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to ensure alignment with product strategy. Additionally, you will develop and support customizations for client deployments, provide technical guidance on configuration and issue resolution, and contribute to improving pipelines, tooling, and engineering standards. When not assigned to active deployments, you will support ongoing product development, ensuring the platform continues to evolve and deliver value.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist; previous enterprise platform experience preferred
  • Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of NLP, Transformers, LLMs, and Generative AI
  • Experience with OpenAI’s GPT suite, including previous experience with their multimodal LLMs: GPT4V, GPT4o is required
  • Theoretical understanding of how LLMs can be leveraged to build classification models, re-rankers, and recommendation systems
  • Strong programming skills, well-versed with building end-to-end data models and pipelines in Python according to the best engineering practices
  • Experience managing a Git repository - maintaining effective version control with organized & clean branching strategies
  • Experience with knowledge graphs

Where to Advertise AI Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising AI jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is small, highly informed and in demand across multiple sectors simultaneously. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that AI professionals expect — and the filtering mechanisms they rely on. Specialist platforms, direct outreach and academic channels each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by ArtificialIntelligenceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise AI roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about time-to-hire across different role types.

How Many AI Tools Do You Need to Know to Get an AI Job?

If you are job hunting in AI right now it can feel like you are drowning in tools. Every week there is a new framework, a new “must-learn” platform or a new productivity app that everyone on LinkedIn seems to be using. The result is predictable: job seekers panic-learn a long list of tools without actually getting better at delivering outcomes. Here is the truth most hiring managers will quietly agree with. They do not hire you because you know 27 tools. They hire you because you can solve a problem, communicate trade-offs, ship something reliable and improve it with feedback. Tools matter, but only in service of outcomes. So how many AI tools do you actually need to know? For most AI job seekers: fewer than you think. You need a tight core toolkit plus a role-specific layer. Everything else is optional. This guide breaks it down clearly, gives you a simple framework to choose what to learn and shows you how to present your toolset on your CV, portfolio and interviews.
