Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and validate statistical and machine learning models from initial data exploration to final analysis.

Lead analytical efforts, extracting meaningful insights from complex datasets and applying Operations Research to optimize decisions and processes.

Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to translate business challenges into data science frameworks and deliver data-driven solutions.

Interpret results, synthesize findings, and communicate actionable recommendations through compelling data storytelling and visualizations.

Partner with Data, AI, and ML Engineers for model deployment and continuously research new methodologies to drive innovation and a data-driven culture.
 

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

Eduction: Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related discipline.

Strong programming skills in Python or R, with expertise in data manipulation and machine learning libraries; Proven experience applying a range of machine learning techniques to real-world problems; Expertise in using visualisation tools to create compelling stories and the ability to explain complex topics to a non-technical audience.
 

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

A deep understanding of statistical principles and experimental design, including hypothesis testing, regression, and classification.

A strong ability to grasp business challenges quickly and a passion for connecting data-driven insights to strategic goals. Experience in pharma, manufacturing, or commercial analytics is a major plus.

A deep understanding of life science, covering the business model, regulatory/compliance requirements, risks and rewards.

Proficiency in SQL for querying and extracting data from relational databases; Experience working with Public Cloud (Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform).
