We work closely with people to understand where, how and why public services sometimes fall short and fail to put people first. And we find ways to put it right.
Based in the centre of Manchester and Westminster, we employ 600 individuals, collaboratively working together to make voices heard. We have created a diverse and inclusive culture, whilst offering flexibility to give you the autonomy to work in the best way suited to you.
Job description
We are looking for a Data Scientist with a strong background in data analysis and machine learning to join our dynamic DDaT team.
As a Data Scientist, you will be an influential contributor, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to deliver meaningful insights and drive data-driven decision-making. You will join our organization at an exciting time, playing a key role in developing and deploying advanced analytical models to forecast trends, classify cases, and identify common themes in complaints.
Previous experience with machine learning algorithms, time series forecasting, NLP and data integration within complex environments (such as Microsoft Dynamics, AI platforms, NHS systems, or telephony data) would be advantageous.
You will be expected to lead the development and implementation of data science projects, applying innovative analytical techniques to solve complex business problems. You will drive model performance and deployment, ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives, timelines, and quality standards.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate, influence, and coordinate internal and external parties to align data science initiatives with business objectives. Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present complex data findings clearly, translate technical details for non-technical audiences, lead data-driven discussions, and constructively challenge ideas.
No candidate will meet every single desired requirement. If your experience looks a little different and you think you can bring value to the role, we would love to hear from you!
