A bit about the job

You'll join our Data Science and Advanced Analytics team - a growing centre of excellence powering some of Aviva's most innovative work.

Your purpose? To apply practical data science to our telematics products, helping us understand driver behaviour, price fairly, and reduce risk on the road.

You'll work closely with pricing, underwriting and digital partners, balancing technical rigour with real world impact.

Every day, you'll help us get more value from rich telematics datasets and bring insights to life for colleagues across Aviva.

Skills and experience we're looking for

  • Experience applying data science techniques to telematics, IoT, or other large scale, high frequency datasets .
  • Strong skills in statistical modelling and machine learning, with hands-on programming in Python, R or SQL.
  • Ability to explain complex ideas simply and clearly to technical and non technical audiences.
  • A collaborative approach - you enjoy working with teams and shaping decisions with data driven insights.
  • A practical problem solver who can turn raw data into actionable recommendations.

  • Starting salary between National: £32,500 - £52,500, London: £37,500 - £57,500 ( depending on location, skills, experience and qualifications)
