My client is based in the London area and is currently looking to recruit an experienced Data Scientist to join their team. They are one of the leaders within the consulting space and are currently going through a period of growth, and are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join their team. They are backed by a huge Multi National equity firm who are looking to bolster my client's financial position. They are expected to see year-on-year growth, which will allow them to implement and utilise the most in demand and cutting-edge technology on the market right now. They have just implemented Gen AI within their organisation and are looking to utilise the newest technologies on the market.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement machine learning models for both supervised (e.g., classification, regression) and unsupervised learning tasks.
  • Manage the full model development lifecycle, including data preparation, exploratory analysis, model training, validation, and deployment.
  • Develop and fine-tune predictive algorithms such as: Classification: Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests. Regression: Linear Models, Gradient Boosting, Neural Networks, K-Nearest Neighbors.
  • Build models for customer behavior prediction and risk assessment in insurance, particularly in underwriting and claims.
  • Apply natural language processing (NLP) for tasks like document classification and information extraction using OCR.
  • Utilize cloud-based platforms like AWS SageMaker and Databricks for scalable model training and deployment.
