Overview

We're hiring a Data Scientist to support a high-impact NHS programme focused on bowel services. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and NHS data environments, who can deliver actionable insights to improve service performance and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse NHS service data to define and measure performance outcomes.
Develop and optimise queries using Oracle DB and PL/SQL.
Apply statistical and analytical techniques to assess service delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
Build and validate data models and visualisations to support decision-making.
Present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Essential Skills

Proven experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL.
Strong background in data science, analytics, or performance analysis.
Experience working with NHS data or within NHS programmes.
Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
