ARAG UK, a market-leading insurance and legal services provider, has an exciting new opportunity for a Data Scientist to join us in our Information Management Team, based in our Bristol offices.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage best practices to explore data, formulate hypotheses, analyse results, and provide actionable recommendations. Work directly with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver insights that drive business decisions. Mentor junior team members to help them develop their skills and grow professionally.
  • Utilise advanced analytics, predictive analytics, and machine learning capabilities, with awareness of contemporary technologies and techniques, including AI.
  • Creating and maintaining data visualizations to support business insights, and developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions to meet business needs.
  • Managing tasks from inception to completion, collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring effective communication and workflow management to deliver accurate content aligned with requirements.
  • Identifying potential risks in design and delivery, suggesting mitigating actions, and detecting and escalating any data issues encountered during daily activities.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Data Scientist with advanced proficiency in Python, R, and SQL Server.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with enthusiasm to learn and a true passion for data and information.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills; experience in advanced analytics, predictive analytics, and machine learning.
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to inspire trust, influence, and communicate information clearly and commercially to different audiences.
  • Broad awareness of contemporary technologies and techniques, including AI.
  • Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services industry is preferable but not essential.
