Job Summary:The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to support Stonebridge Companies’ business data needs. This role ensures the reliability and efficiency of data systems, automates workflows, and creates robust solutions that align with best practices, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support business data needs and processes. Implement automation in existing data processes to improve accuracy and reduce manual efforts. Create and manage APIs to enable seamless data exchange between systems and applications. Collaborate with business teams to identify data requirements and provide tailored solutions. Design and maintain data lakehouses, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Utilize SQL and Python to develop, troubleshoot, and enhance data processing workflows. Experience using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI (DAX & M), and Power Automate to create automated data pipelines, data lake houses and automate data reporting. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure uninterrupted operations and quick resolution of issues. Stay current on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve data systems. Maintain comprehensive documentation for all data engineering processes and projects.
Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 1-3 years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT processes, and database management. Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, API development and pipeline development. Experience with Microsoft Tech Stack, including Microsoft Fabric, Power BI (DAX & M), and Power Automate. Experience with API development and system integration to facilitate data exchanges. Understanding of data lakehouse architecture, design, and maintenance. Demonstrated experience automating data processes and reporting preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and optimize data workflows. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for translating technical requirements into actionable insights.
Work Environment:
Primarily works in an office environment with frequent use of computers and data engineering tools. Requires extended periods performing detailed data-related tasks. May occasionally need to collaborate with cross-functional teams in person or virtually. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
