A leading global market research brand is looking for an innovativeGCP Data Engineerto join a newly created R&D function focused on cutting-edge data solutions. The new team works directly with senior leadership, with strong backing from all areas of the business.
You’ll play a critical role in transforming the way this organization handles data on a global scale, with significant influence on future projects and strategies.
The Team You'll Be Joining:
You will be joining the Head of Innovation and Lead Data Scientist as one of the key early hires in this growing team. Joining you will be another Data Scientist and one more Data Engineer.
What you'll be doing in this role:
- Designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support data integration, processing, and storage.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient GCP solutions.
- Leveraging GCP tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer to manage large-scale data environments.
- Implementing best practices for data engineering, including security, governance, and optimization, ensuring the quality and performance of data infrastructure.
- Monitoring and improving existing pipelines to ensure high availability and scalability for a global market research operation.
What you will bring:
- Experience working withGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP), including tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and more.
- Strong programming skills, particularly inPythonandSQL, with experience in building and optimizing data pipelines.
- Expertise inETL processes, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge ofcontainerizationandorchestration toolslike Kubernetes and Docker is a plus.
- Excellent collaboration skills, working closely with data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
