Job Description:

Our client is looking to bring a talented Data Engineer into their data team. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining the data infrastructure and pipelines that are crucial for processing data efficiently and making it available for analytics and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:

• You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines using AWS cloud technologies, ensuring data is ingested, processed, and stored effectively.
• Implementing data quality checks and monitoring systems will be key, as well as troubleshooting any data-related issues that arise in production.
• You’ll work closely with Data Scientists and Analysts to understand their needs and deliver high-quality, accessible datasets.
• Developing and maintaining data models that support business intelligence and analytics is also part of the role.
• Contributing to best practices in data engineering through code reviews and staying updated on emerging technologies in the field.
• Documenting data architectures, pipelines, and processes for seamless knowledge sharing within the team.
• Implementing and maintaining DevOps/DataOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems, will be part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Our client is looking for someone with 3-4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• You should have strong experience working with the AWS Data Stack (like AWS Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena).
• Proven experience in building and developing data pipelines is essential.
• Proficiency in Python and related data frameworks (e.g., PySpark, Pandas, NumPy) is required.
• Excellent SQL skills and a solid understanding of relational database architecture are necessary.
• Experience with DevOps/DataOps practices and tools is a plus, along with familiarity with version control systems and collaborative workflows.
• The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with real-time data processing and streaming technologies is a plus, as is experience with business intelligence tools.
