Data/Cloud Security Engineer
Fully Remote (UK based)
£500 per day, Outside IR35 - 6 month contract
Must be eligible to go through SC Clearance

I am currently looking for a Senior Data & Cloud Security Engineer to join a data intelligence company focused on AI, Machine Learning, and Secure Cloud solutions.
You will oversee the AWS cloud infrastructure and lead data pipeline development as well as work closely with the Chief Data & AI Officer to shape the long-term strategy and drive innovation in AI and Data Science!

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Snowflake, Airflow, Python & SQL.
• Design data models supporting machine learning applications.
• Ensure cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, compliance).
• Mentor the data engineering team and provide technical leadership.
• Collaborate on DevOps/DataOps adoption and agile methodologies.

Skills & Experience:

• Python, SQL, and cloud data architecture experience. (AWS)
• Strong knowledge of security, NIST Cybersecurity, and ISO27001.
• Understanding of Secure by Design principles (direct experience of UK MOD a benefit)
• Working knowledge of ISO27001 requirements and processes
• Understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0, and its application
• Previous experience with Snowflake, Sigma.
