We are looking for a meticulous and data-driven Data Administrator to join our dynamic INK IQ Data team at The INKEY List on a fixed term basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact by enhancing our master data management processes. Based in Nottingham with flexibility to work remotely, this position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual eager to develop skills in Business Intelligence (BI), Data Warehousing, and data management.

Key Responsibilities:

Master Data Management:

  • Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of master data across systems.
  • Conduct regular data audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure data reflects current business needs.

Data Entry and Maintenance:

  • Accurately enter, update, and validate data in multiple systems.
  • Ensure timely and precise data entry to support business operations.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement enhancements to data management processes.
  • Develop and update data management procedures.

Data Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate and maintain routine and ad hoc reports.
  • Assist in the development of dashboards and BI tools.

Data Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies.
  • Support the creation of data standards and guidelines.

Data Integration:

  • Assist with data integration projects to ensure consistency across systems.
  • Support data migration efforts as required.

User Support and Training:

  • Provide training and support to users on data-related processes.
  • Serve as a point of contact for data-related queries.

Collaboration:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to meet their data needs.
  • Participate in projects related to data management, BI, and data warehousing.

Learning and Development:

  • Stay updated on data management and BI trends.
  • Seek opportunities for skill development.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Assist in implementing data security measures.

Person Specification:

Education:

  • Degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant coursework or projects in data management or analysis are a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with databases, Power BI and Fabric is advantageous.
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, R) are beneficial but not required.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in data entry and maintenance.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Team Collaboration: Experience working in a team, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to develop skills in data management, BI, and data warehousing.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in data entry, data administration, or related fields is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with data projects, even in an academic setting, is valuable.
