Whatyou'll do
As a ControlsManager in Technology, Data & Analytics, you’ll have anopportunity to make a vital contribution to driving a generativeculture of risk awareness and recommend solutions to operations’risk issues within the businesses. You’ll strengthen the level ofownership within the business, identifying and calling out areas ofweakness and sharing bestpractices.
We’ll look to youto deliver a robust risk governance framework in line with theoperational risk handbook, as well as supporting and deliveringrelevant risk activity to build credible and realistic plans tomove and sustain a control environment certification rating withinrisk appetite.
Day-to-day,you’ll be:
- Escalating emerging risksin a timely manner, making sure actions are quickly defined andowned
- Developing and delivering a strong riskawareness across the business, contributing to the prioritisation,design and implementation of the operational risk principles intothe business
- Implementing a robust governanceframework that engages all relevant stakeholders to enableeffective decision making and make sure that all aspects of riskmanagement are delivered
- Managing the interfacebetween the business, internal audit, second line of defence andother critical functions, as well as the wider risk and controlsteams
- Making sure that all aspects of riskmanagement are delivered within the requirements of the policyframework and in accordance with the conduct riskrequirements
- Supporting the business withcontrol implementation and remediationplans
Theskills you'llneed
As well as astrong understanding of our operating processes, you’ll needgeneral and project management skills involving complex people,process and technology issues, along with a proven understandingand practical application of risk management principles. You’llalso need well developed knowledge of our businesses and associatedproducts, processes and technologies, alongsidethe ability to take framework guidance andtranslate it into controlrequirements. Atechnical qualification such as CISA, NIST or CRISIC would beadvantageous.
Ontop of this, you’ll bring:
- Strongsenior stakeholder management skills
- A trackrecord of testing or effectively implementing IT general controls(ITGC) and automated controls (ITAC)
- Experienceworking with SOX controls
- Experience withemerging technology and initiatives such as cloud, AI, climate, anddata
- A clear track record ofdelivery
- Influencing and conflict resolutionskills, with the ability to view the impact of issues from a wideror macro perspective
- The ability to thinkcreatively when resolving problems and identify alternatives whereestablished procedures may not exist
