Key Responsibilities


Technical background to provide expert guidance and technical support in both embedded and cloud-based machine learning solutions, with specific focus on Computer Vision. Additionally, be responsible for designing and implementing Data Pipelines. Solid understanding of Software Development, with a passion for data and AI.



  • Provide technical guidance for the development of computer vision solutions.
  • Implement state of the art machine learning algorithms.
  • Design and develop robust computer vision algorithms for detection, classification and segmentation.
  • Design and develop engineering solutions to meet project requirements.
  • Conduct detailed analysis, testing, and validation of designs or systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and contribute to problem‑solving efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, safety guidelines, GDPR compliance etc.
  • Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and resource management.

Requirements



  • Extensive computer vision / machine learning knowledge gained in an engineering function.
  • Strong understanding of classical computer vision techniques.
  • Degree qualification within a suitable discipline, masters is a bonus.
  • 3‑5 years of professional engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience working with relevant industry software, modelling, or simulation tools.
  • Ability to manage project components independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision‑making skills.

Skills & Experience



  • Experience working with popular machine learning frameworks.
  • Experience using high performance deep learning models for image processing.
  • Optimise models for embedded platforms / edge devices.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with advancements in deep learning and computer vision to apply new techniques to products.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and identify opportunities where Computer Vision solutions can add value.
  • Provide expert guidance and consulting services on computer vision strategy, implementation, and best practices, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement scalable and efficient solutions to support algorithms and models, ensuring robustness, reliability, and performance optimisation.
  • Design and develop machine learning solutions, both device embedded and cloud‑based services on Cloud Providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement machine learning models and algorithms and establish a training and learning strategy specific to DeterTech’s needs.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud‑based and Computer Vision technologies.
  • Take ownership of the implementation of the suggested solutions.
  • Experience working with cloud‑based platforms, preferably AWS, is favourable.
  • Good coding skills gained using any of C, C++, C#, Java also favourable.
