An international manufacturing/engineering business in Frimley is looking for a Commercial Service Specialist with strong data science experience. This this a hybrid position involving Big Data Analytics, Data Collection, some Financial Reporting, and User Support.The Commercial Service Specialist will be developing and maintaining a functional, market-relevant, predictive tool for calculating the business’ service contracts. In this role you’ll be applying data mining techniques, completing statistical analysis and building high quality prediction systems.The role will also involve:

  • Reviewing the technical content of service manuals to be aware of the most accurate maintenance and repair data
  • Guiding the developers in industrialising predictive model techniques
  • Ensuring an efficient and highly functional tool to retrieve and register information on service
  • Acting as a helpdesk for distribution partners with questions regarding the calculation of service costs
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to the partner/customer experience
  • Provide support to commercial teams and support department colleagues.

We’re looking for:

  • Degree level education, preferably in a Computer Science, Data Science, Decision Science, Business Administration discipline
  • 3 + years’ experience in a similar role involving relationship management plus hands on data-driven work
  • Strong communication and teamworking abilities
  • Good numerical skills
  • Advanced Excel, and PowerBI
  • Proficiency using query languages such as SQL, Hive
  • Scripting and programming skills.
