We have an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Manchester.

Within this team you will be responsible for providing 3rd line IT systems, cloud and Infrastructure service delivery across the Slater and Gordon group. This role will enable S+G to exploit cloud technology to both differentiate itself and create a source of sustainable competitive advantage. In order to achieve this, we require high-cadence technology services such as rapid application deployment/removal, enable big data analytics and machine learning, provide a high degree of compute flexibility in a secure and economically viable manner.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Support technical, infrastructure and application delivery initiatives.
  
• Maintenance, patching, troubleshooting and resolving network and server related issues.
  
• Analysis of infrastructure, and capacity planning for future projects/growth.
  
• Facilitating meetings with various technical teams and third party vendors.
  
• Manage resources and capacity for BAU activity and new and existing projects.
  
• Be responsible for DR and HA across all aspects of Systems and Infrastructure.
  
• Own change and documentation for current and future network changes
  
• Drive forward the development of colleagues and the team overall.
  
• Develop the Network (WAN & LAN) roadmap with our 3rd party support.
  

About You:

• 
  
• A proven track record of design and documentation for systems deployment.
  
• Excellent knowledge of scripting and automation, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, O365, power automate.
  
• Current certification / working towards Azure Associate/Expert Level qualifications, MCSE, MCSA, or CCNA, CCNP.
  
• Good knowledge of SANs and NAS (Pure Storage preferred) and backup/DR software (Cohesity, Commvault) or cloud-based backup systems (Azure site recovery), and the networking interconnects.
  
• Azure cloud networking experience (Peering, VPN, Express Route, Azure Firewalls, NSGs and vNETS)
  
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, Routers, Switches, Meraki, FortiGate firewalls.
  
• Virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V, RDS, AVD, Terminal Services.
  
• Strong management and interpersonal skills
  
• Cisco command line experience of TS, routes, VLANs etc
  
• Strong knowledge of SCCM, Monitoring software such as SolarWinds, PowerShell, Azure run books.
