Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank's businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.
You will work within the GSA team responsible for delivering client analytics in our strategic platform, to understand opportunities and business profitability across Corporate Bank and Investment Bank.
The team have the responsibility to deliver a platform, working collaboratively with the business and technology, to give insight into our clients' needs, their performance and profitability.
You will have experience of market leading data science techniques and machine learning methodologies and have a commercial and client-centric attitude, together with strong interpersonal skills and a detail-oriented approach to breaking down complex matters.
You will be creative with the enthusiasm to develop an industry leading platform that can drive the firm's client strategy, using cutting edge technology. You will work together with partners in Sales, Trading, Technology and beyond to have a significant positive impact on the company and our global clients.

Your key responsibilities
- Define delivery milestones to reflect business requirements for insights into client and business profitability and enforce sign off process with business
- partners and sponsors
Proactive identification of new data and methods to facilitate effective decision making - Define and validate design and implementation of data models and analytics
- Coordinate product development across multiple workstreams
Your skills and experience
- Extensive data and analytics experience, ideally within a financial services environment. Expertise in visualisation design a plus
- Educated to University degree or equivalent qualification/work experience in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics or related field
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical models and data structures
- Data analysis and visualisation experience and understanding, with ability to translate data analysis to extract meaningful commercial insights and visualise data to support decision making processes
- Proven track record of working with large datasets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with ability to explain complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders to understand
