We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join a leading energy supplier. As the Business Intelligence Developer, you will be responsible for championing the use of Power BI across the business and delivering the company’s next generation of company reports and insights. You will be implementing the migration to Microsoft Fabric infrastructure, covering process mapping, ETL and BI report design as well as upskilling stakeholders to the new platform. Develop, maintain & manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards using Power BI & Fabric. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the BI system. Design and create interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports in Power BI. Build data models and schemas that support efficient querying and data retrieval. Build data models and schemas that support efficient querying and data retrieval. Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices. Optimise Power BI dashboards and reports for performance and scalability. Maintain comprehensive documentation for all BI solutions, including data sources, models etc Monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Skills and Experience Required:Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar BI developer role. Proven track record of developing and deploying BI solutions in a business environment. Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query. Experience with Fabric or similar data integration platforms. Ability to analyse complex data sets and provide actionable insights. Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Power BI, data analytics, or related areas are advantageous. Experience of the UK Energy Supply or Utilities industry is advantageous
