Job Title: Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

Location: Bristol (2 days a week onsite)

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE


Job Description:

As a BI Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven strategies. You’ll develop, analyze, and maintain data models and dashboards to empower teams with meaningful insights. The client is a consultancy based in the heart of Bristol who support companies all across the South of the UK with Data solutions.


We’re particularly looking for someone experienced in SQL, DAX, and modern BI tools.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain robust data models using SQL, DAX, and other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Design and build interactive, insightful dashboards and reports for diverse business units.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy and optimize performance in reporting solutions.
  • Continuously research and implement emerging BI technologies and best practices.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience in SQL, including complex queries, data manipulation, and performance tuning.
  • Strong knowledge of DAX for Power BI or similar analytical expressions.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate data into business insights.
  • Knowledge of Python, R, or other data scripting languages is a plus.
