Overview

ABOUT THE ROLE....

This vacancy is an opportunity to join the Disney AV Investment team, which is responsible for planning and buying all AV campaigns. The overall Investment team is comprised of 30 individuals with diverse skills and expertise across the media and technology landscape. AV Investment works in close collaboration with Media Planners, and the Digital Investment team to help design integrated solutions to Disney’s communication challenges.

The AV Business Director will lead Disney’s AV (TV, BVOD, CTV, Cinema, Radio, and Digital Audio) strategy, overseeing long-term planning, media execution, and the AV team’s overall planning and buying output.

Reporting to the Head of UK Investment at Publicis Imagine, this role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the evolving AV landscape.


Responsibilities

ABOUT THE WORK....

·Strategic Leadership:Develop and drive Disney’s AV strategy, ensuring best-in-class media planning and execution across all AV channels·Audience & Market Insights:Utilise industry tools and technology to analyse audience behaviour and media consumption trends across TV, BVOD, CTV, Audio, and Cinema·Client Engagement:Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with Disney clients, acting as a key point of contact for AV strategy and execution·Media Landscape Updates:Prepare and present quarterly AV landscape updates to Disney clients, providing key industry insights and trends·Innovation & Thought Leadership:Proactively pitch new strategic AV approaches and innovative media solutions to drive Disney’s success·Negotiation & Value Delivery:Leverage strong relationships with media owners to secure added value and maximise investment efficiency for Disney·Team Leadership & Development:Support the AV Director in managing the team, ensuring the delivery of high-performance campaigns and upholding market-leading standards·Performance & Compliance:Work with the team to achieve all KPIs, audit requirements, and AV cost-saving targets in collaboration with Ebiquity·Market Intelligence:Stay informed about industry developments and media owner opportunities, sharing insights with the AV team, Disney clients, and Publicis Imagine·Collaboration & Integration:Work closely with the PMX team and Zenith UK AV team to ensure alignment with media deals and investment strategies·Client Briefs & Presentations:Work with the AV Director to lead in responding to and presenting client briefs with compelling strategies and insights·Awards & Recognition:Oversee the preparation of award submissions to showcase excellence in AV strategy and execution for Publicis Imagine·Operational Excellence:Ensure the AV team maintains high standards in organisation, team administration, and financial management
Qualifications

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED....

We are looking for someone who can come in and immediately make an impact. This person should exude confidence and be able to motivate, educate and aid the development of more junior resource. Whilst the successful candidate will be well supported, it is expected that they should be able to ‘hit the ground running’, and for the most part be able to manage their team autonomously.

CRITICAL SKILLS

  • Extensive experience in an AV department with deep expertise in TV, Cinema, BVOD, CTV, and Audio. The ideal candidate should be able to confidently discuss and provide expert insights on all these media channels
  • Have excellent team/department management skills
  • Have excellent client management skills
  • Have knowledge and experience in the programmatic ecosystem across CTV, Digital Audio and BVOD
  • Have strong communication and presentation skills
  • Have high levels of experience in managing client/AV finance processes, i.e. Ensuring absolute finance accuracy and PO management
  • Have in-depth experience of managing client audits/guarantees
