The Role

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our Rapport team, to help facilitate on innovative projects with expressive digital characters.  You will play a key role in supporting the product management team in the development and enhancement of our platform, Rapport.  Our platform launched last year, and we are already gaining traction in a new digital experience proposition.  This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to the success of our product and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

You will work with the Head of Product to translate user needs into design inputs and product features.  You’ll work in collaboration with our product, engineering, creative and marketing teams. 

This role will require in-person attendance in our Edinburgh office 3 days per week.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • ​​Product Discovery Support:
    - Assist in user interviews and feedback collection 
    - Conduct research on customer needs, market trends, and competitor products
    - Help prioritize feature requests based on business impact and customer feedback
  • Backlog & Feature Management:
    - Assist in writing detailed product requirements for new features or enhancements
    - Help manage the product backlog, ensuring user stories and tasks are well-defined
  • Data Analysis & Insights:
    - Analyze product usage data and customer feedback to identify trends, areas of improvement, or opportunities
    - Create and maintain reports to track product performance and progress toward key goals
    - Participate in the testing and evaluation of complementary technologies
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    - Assist in the delivery of innovative user experiences and demos that enhance and highlight the technical capabilities of Rapport
    - Work with our Marketing team to support feature launches by assisting with communication plans and release notes

Requirements

Qualifications/ memberships or equivalent

  • A bachelor’s degree in data science, business administration, or a related field

Experience, skills and knowledge✍️

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role, or a related analytical field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams in an Agile or Scrum environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with Google Analytics or a similar analytics tool

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Customer-centric mindset with empathy for user needs
  • Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem solving

Qualifications/memberships or equivalent

  • Product Manager Certification or equivalent professional certifications

Experience, skills & knowledge

  • Previous experience in an Associate product role, or product adjacent role (Data Science, UX, Business Analyst)
  • Interest in areas of Generative AI, animation, or linguistics
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles and practices
