We’re excited to announce new opportunities across our Digital Innovation Team. As we embark on a digital transformation journey, there’s no better time to get involved.

We’re seeking talented individuals to help shape our organization’s future.

Join a dynamic, forward-thinking team that’s driving change.

As part of our commitment to innovation and digital transformation, we’re recruiting an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Officer to join the Digital Innovation Team at Westmorland and Furness Council.

AI is a key priority nationally and locally. We are developing a program to explore, implement, and scale AI solutions to improve services and outcomes for our communities.

This role offers a unique chance to turn emerging technologies into practical improvements for residents, contributing to our Customer Strategy and Digital Ambition.

Who we are looking for…

Experience in supporting projects or programs, managing competing priorities, and working collaboratively across teams is essential.

This position is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in digital innovation, especially with an interest in emerging technology and its role in public services. If you are excited about AI’s potential to improve outcomes and want to shape the future of local government, we’d love to hear from you.
