A frontier AI venture in London still in stealth is growing a talent-dense team to build a new kind of foundation model.

Location & Relocation

  • Roles are on-site in London.
  • Full relocation support is available for candidates across Europe and internationally.

They are hiring multiple Research Scientists & Engineers across:

  • Foundation Model Training (Pre-Training)
  • Post-Training, Alignment & RLHF

This is not a variant of an existing architecture and not a scaling exercise on top of someone else’s stack.

It is original FM research and engineering from first principles, with the ambition and backing to match.

The founders previously held senior research roles at elite labs, and several early hires have joined from similarly elite research environments.

These roles will enable you to shape a novel model, influence research direction, and build core systems before the rest of the world sees them.

If you want to work at genuine frontier depth, without the constraints, bureaucracy, or guardrails of big corporate labs, this is the moment.

What You’ll Work On

Depending on your background, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Design and train a novel foundation model architecture using large-scale, multimodal data
  • Lead post-training techniques such as SFT, reward modelling, DPO, RLHF, self-play and behaviour optimisation
  • Build data curation pipelines, filtering tools, and evaluation frameworks at scale
  • Experiment with new ideas around personalisation, representation learning, and preference modelling
  • Work directly with a small, exceptionally strong team to bring research prototypes into production

People who will thrive here:

  • Independent thinkers who enjoy first-principles problem solving.
  • Researchers or engineers with hands-on experience in LLMs, RL, multimodal modelling, or large-scale training.
  • Builders who want to push the frontier rather than polish existing architectures.
  • Those who prefer high-ownership, low-bureaucracy environments.
  • Candidates excited by the chance to join an elite team at during a formative stage.

How to Write an AI CV that Beats ATS (UK examples)

Writing an AI CV for the UK market is about clarity, credibility, and alignment. Recruiters spend seconds scanning the top third of your CV, while Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) check for relevant skills & recent impact.
