AI Operating Partner

Fractional Expectations: 2-3 days a week.

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days on site)

A Private Equity firm is seeking a Strategic AI Consultant to evaluate their portfolio's current technological capabilities and suggest opportunities for business improvement.

The role involves triaging their portfolio, building a GenAI Service Automation playbook, prioritizing deliverables, and leading AI implementation. The consultant will work across multiple functions within the PE firm, responsible for AI Due Diligence pre- and post-acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a Gen AI Service Automation playbook for use across multiple portfolio companies
• Identify, triage, and quantify high-impact AI opportunities
• Prioritize and manage deliverables to maximize margin improvement and valuation growth
• Collaborate with leadership teams to embed GenAI, AI, and machine learning into business operations
• Work with technical teams to implement suggested changes
• Responsible for Data and AI Due Diligence for M&A's
• Provide strategic guidance on digital transformation and AI adoption

Required Experience

• Deep expertise in Gen AI implementation and strategic digital transformation projects
• Strong track record of delivering measurable business impact through AI initiatives
• Excellent strategic thinking, prioritization, and project management abilities
• Excellent understanding of AI due diligence & governance for PE-backed businesses throughout the M&A lifecycle

Desired Experience

• Experience in an executive-level position
• Technical background in data science or AI engineering
