AVEVA is looking for an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Intern to join our team in summer 2026 for 10-week internship.

Employment type: Full-time Summer Internship

Duration:10 Weeksstarting June 2026

Work Type: Hybrid (3 days a week in office)

Location: Cambridge, UK

As Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Intern, you'll help us build intuitive AI solutions and help solve real-world problems. You'll use your AI/ML, and visualization skills to innovate and create the next generation of industrial AI enabled products.

Our Artificial Intelligence (AI) team works with teams across the business to promote and develop AI.

You will be a member of the AI team who works with engineers, data scientists, system developers and product managers to investigate and prototype AI-driven solutions for customer problems.

You will:

Present complex information in an easily digestible format Support streamlined data interactions and exploration Work with the business stake holders to understand problems Propose and evaluate solutions Curate real world data for use in evaluation

Throughout your summer internship, you will be responsible for assisting in the prototyping and development of AI solutions and the evaluation of how well those solutions can be applied to a wide variety of real-world, industrial problems.

Your activities include working with stakeholders to understand and refine requirements, get access to data, and provide feedback on prototype solutions.

We’re looking for:

Studying towards a degree in Artificial Intelligence or related field. Basic understanding of AI & ML concepts with the ability to explain a technical solution. Basic knowledge in software development in any of the modern programming languages. Good communication skills with a willingness to learn.

Hybrid working

By default, employees are expected to be in their local AVEVA office three days a week, but some positions are fully office-based. Roles supporting particular customers or markets are sometimes remote.
