Job Overview:As a Software Technology Manager, youwill work with Arms key customers to define and prioritiserequirements for software enablement and optimization and todevelop strategies to deliver them working within Arm and oursoftware ecosystem! Our Machine Learning group is our centre ofexcellence for all AI and ML on Arms CPUs, GPUs, and dedicatedaccelerators. You will be part of our team of technology managerswho are addressing the growing demand for Machine Learning on Armtechnology. We are responsible for the roadmap and vision for oursoftware development, configuration, optimization, plusproductisation and delivery activities. We develop strategiesaround new and existing software components to support Armsproducts. We gather use-cases and requirements for how softwaresolutions can fulfil the needs of complex systems. We engage withopen-source communities and communicate the opportunities ofopen-source software. We create product plans to ensure Armssoftware solution products are successfully deployed to ourpartners across multiple market segments. Our knowledge of softwarecommunities, development practices and release methodologies enableus to match the lifecycle of our hardware products to build anddeliver complete product solutions. We work closely with ProjectManagers, Architects, Engineering Leads and Product Managersinternal and external to Arm. Together, we collaborate to deliverthe best software for Arms technology and communicate its value tothe world! Responsibilities: ● Evaluate the complete value chain ofend customers, manufacturers, and designers of hardware, software,and systems. This includes productisation, support and qualityassurance relating to what we deliver to those customers. ● Gatherspecific market segment needs and translate these into productplans. ● Work with internal engineering teams and partner softwarevendors to prioritize features and enhancements meeting customerneeds. ● Perform competitive analysis to identify the strengths andweaknesses of Arm-based solutions versus the competition. ●Evangelize in open-source communities and enthuse our partners withthe software offering by participating in customer meetings andtraining. Required Skills and Experience : ● Demonstrableexperience with management of software requirements (preferably ina software product delivery context), and an understanding of howthey are validated and delivered to required levels of quality. ●Ability to express ideas and communicate effectively with otherteam members, customers, and suppliers to formulate, agree, andimplement strategic plans. ● Software development experience ●Motivation to work unsupervised, but as an integral member of alocal developer team, as well as our globally distributedtechnology management team. ● Comfortable with the requirement totravel occasionally. “Nice To Have” Skills and Experience : ● Gooduniversity degree (or equivalent), ideally in a numerate subject,although other graduates would be considered if they have relevantexperience. ● Visibility or experience of a full open-sourcesoftware development lifecycle and the components of a typicalsoftware stack. This could include definition of non-functionalaspects of software and targets for integration maturity. ●Experience with the definition of requirements to achieve qualityand optimisation goals. ● Work in software performance.
