We have veryambitious plans for Lumi ahead, so now we're looking for a SeniorFrontend Developer to become a vital part of our core team,assuring the robustness, security, and efficiency of ourserver-side logic, ensuring that our platform serves the complexneeds of our scientific users. Role brief: As a Senior FrontendDeveloper at Reach Industries, you will play a crucial role inproducing user interfaces for our computer vision powered,web-based products. Working with people throughout the business,your team will transform unique requirements into impressive userexperiences. Being requirements led, you will draw from yourexisting confidence in frontend web development and research newtechnologies in order to output bespoke, best-in-class solutions.Your Impact You should have a strong professional background inReact, Typescript, industry standard UI libraries and Git alongwith familiarity with UX tools and web graphics libraries. Workwith your team and the rest of the business to convert requirementsinto well designed, maintainable Next Js and Typescript code.Implement data visualisation components and interactive featuresfor displaying complex datasets. Integrate video streamingcapabilities and leverage webRTC for real-time communication.Utilise websockets for efficient and seamless real-time dataexchange. Integrate external APIs to fetch and display dynamiccontent within the frontend applications. Ensure code qualitythrough code reviews, testing, and debugging. Optimise frontendperformance and ensure cross-browser compatibility. Collaboratewith the backend team to define and implement API contracts. Stayupdated with the latest frontend trends, frameworks, and bestpractices. Your experience: - Minimum of 4 years of experience as aFrontend Developer, with a strong focus on web technologies. -Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Next Js, Git, VSCode, and Figma(or similar UX tools). - Experience with the use and configurationof modern UI libraries such as ChakraUI, TailwindCSS, MUI -Experience in developing data visualisation or graphical webapplications with tools such as D3, Chartly, Three Js,HTML CanvasAPI etc. - A technical understanding of the challenges andprincipals involved in developing mobile-first web applications. -Understanding of real-time client-server communication and videostreaming using tools such as websockets or webRTC - Knowledge ofAPI integration and working with RESTful APIs. - Confidence incomponent composition, project structure and code qualityreflecting industry standards such as DRY, SRP, SOLID. - Strongproblem-solving skills and ability to work in an Agile/Scrumenvironment. - Excellent communication skills, both written andverbal. - Ability to work effectively in a remote and collaborativeteam environment.
