We provide a range of products using robotics,machine vision and sensing technologies to monitor cow conditionand provide farmer insights for disease prevention and welfare. We also have close working relationshipswith universities, colleges, and research organisations. As part ofour commitment to advancing technological solutions, we are seekinga highly skilled Senior Automation/Robotics Engineer to takeresponsibility for our robots products and new developments. JobDescription The role will involve participation at all stages ofthe development process, from requirements capture throughdevelopment, to onsite commissioning and testing. You will takeownership of the robotic and automation projects. Responsibilities - LeadAutomation & Robotic Design Projects - Design and test controlsystems: PLC, Scada, Robotics - Produce specifications, plans andcost analysis - Produce appropriate documentation for proposals andcustomer document packs - Actively develop the skills of other teammembers - Liaise with customers and suppliers throughout theproject cycle Requirements - A higher education qualification in arelevant field and more than 3 years’ experience in a related rolein industry - Willingness to visit farms to develop dairy robotsolutions - Expertise programming PLCs to an advanced level,producing high quality, well formatted programs - A high level oftechnical knowledge and the ability to apply this to practicalproblems - An understanding in electrical principles and DCcircuits - Experience of producing high quality, well formattedprograms. Our projects can be based on a variety of PLC platformsrequiring strong ladder and structured text programming skills -Hands on experience of assembly and test of automated solutions -Passport and driving license. Willingness to travel occasionallyDesirable Skills - Experience with Kuka robotic systems. -Experience with Beckhoff and/or Omron PLCs. - Understanding ofpneumatic and hydraulic systems.
