This is an exciting opportunity working within a growing Data team for a well-known brand in central London (hybrid).

In this role you will be ensuring efficient Datawarehouse management with a strong analytical focus, helping the business to reach data driven decisions for growth.

Day to Day:

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure efficient and reliable data flow across the organisation
Implement and monitor data validation and testing processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability
Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable data solutions
Continuously optimise data infrastructure and workflows for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, processes, and systems
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in data engineering and analytics to drive innovation and improvements
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues and queries from various teams
Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices, including data privacy and security standards

About You:

You have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy tackling complex data issues
Strong attention to detail and are committed to ensuring data accuracy and quality
You thrive in team environments and are able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
You are proactive and able to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently
You are flexible and open to learning new tools and technologies as the industry evolves

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages such as Python, R, or Java
Data Warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
Hands-on experience with ETL tools and frameworks such as Apache Airflow, DBT, or Talend
Familiarity with data visualisation tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure (preferably experience with at least 2)
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is a plus
Understanding of APIs and experience with data integration
