The Opportunity
Overview:
The Analyst will have knowledge of and interest in artificial intelligence (preferably blockchain, digital assets, and the metaverse as well), and must be willing to build on their capability and experience in this area. The Analyst will support the Digital Advisory (Emerging Technology) Director & Executive to build the firm's knowledge, capability, and brand in respect of emerging technology law.
Key Responsibilities:
To support the Director and Executive with day-to-day tasks including:
Knowledge & Learning:
Managing knowledge and content sharing, including building, documenting, overseeing, and administering relevant internal systems and processes; Assisting with creating and maintaining training and know-how materials on emerging technologies & supporting on the delivery of relevant content to colleagues, including supporting on the running of regular internal knowledge sharing calls and newsletters; Supporting ad hoc research, queries, and similar in respect of emerging technologies in line with business and team priorities;
Business development & Marketing:
Maintaining global, cross-practice materials as up to date, and assisting with production of major campaigns and targeted reports, articles, consultations, webinars, roundtables, and events; Supporting global & cross-practice initiatives relating to client pursuit and engagement including preparing content for marketing and business development activities such as pitches, training, client meetings, press, and marketing; Supporting opportunities to grow the firm's capability, presence, and work in respect of emerging technologies and informing strategy, business development, and marketing efforts by building detailed knowledge of client and market drivers relating to the area; Staying abreast of emerging tech news and proactively sharing insights into the impact of news on clients and sectors, leveraging data and insights on emerging technologies to help us identify and win new business and maintain & enhance existing client work;
Digital Products:
Monitoring and reporting legal and regulatory matters relating to AI (and potentially also blockchain, digital assets, and the metaverse), to build knowledge across our Emerging Technology Group lawyers and support client pursuit; and Carrying out data collection and analysis activities on AI (and potentially also blockchain, digital assets, and the metaverse) to

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Excellent academics (minimum 2:1 degree). Strong IT literacy, including an aptitude for learning (and becoming proficient in the use and functioning of) new and innovative software and IT applications. Experience working in a professional services environment, preferably large international law firm, preferred but not required. Solutions-oriented, curious, and creative thinker with a strong interest in emerging technologies and their application in the context of law and regulation. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to summarise complex issues succinctly verbally and in writing and to liaise directly with clients and lawyers and others in the firm, and able to build relationships and influence all levels of seniority. Excellent organisational skills (including the ability to prioritise) and experience working on numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail while also able to step back and see the 'bigger picture' of problems, opportunities, and trends.
Proactive team player with strong problem-solving skills, analytical ability coupled with sound judgement to balance multiple factors and solve complex problems, experience managing projects across multiple stakeholders.
