Job Description Job Title: Airworthiness FutureCapability – Digital Engineering /n Location: Samlesbury / Warton /Hybrid. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible workingarrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options forthis particular role. /n Salary: £54,793 – £60,326 (Commensuratewith skills and experience) /n/n/n What you’ll be doing: /nResponsible for delivering tasks in a timely, consistent andprofessional manner by: – /n /n - Establishing and delivering theengineering activities aligned with the businesses DigitalEngineering transformation, using systems integration & systemsengineering techniques whilst engaging with Engineering teams andsubject matter experts as appropriate. These will generally involvecollaborating across a virtual team, influencing individuals todeliver. /n -  Exploitation of learning across Air and other BAESystems Units, as well as the broader industry includingregulators, customers and suppliers. /n - Coordinating activitieswith the other leads on Digital Engineering transformation. /n -Assisting/advising on the development of toolset options andtoolset implementations, which support new ways of working,including participating in testing prototype tooling through casestudies/use cases. /n -  Working alongside Engineering Teams andRegulatory Authorities to develop an optimum certification approachfor new and novel technologies and ways of working. /n - Identifyproposals for changes to MRP Part 21 to ensure design organisationapprovals reflect the Digital Engineering transformation. /n /nYour skills and experiences: /n Essential: /n /n - Degree orHNC/HND or demonstrated experience in Airworthiness / FutureCapability /n - Initial Airworthiness, Certification, RequirementsEngineering (DEFSTAN) /n - Model-Based Systems Engineering andrelated techniques, processes & tools (ISO 15288) /n - Exhibitspositive behaviour, Integrity, Adaptability, Courage,Collaboration, Creativity /n /n Desirable: /n /n - Knowledge ofEngineering Lifecycle and Engineering Integration /n -Understanding of Safety Engineering processes, practices &tools /n /n Benefits: /n As well as a competitive pension scheme,BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range offlexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits,including a green car scheme, private health plans and shoppingdiscounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. /nThe Airworthiness and Product Integrity Team: /n This role iswithin the Airworthiness & Product Integrity DigitalEngineering Capability team within the Air Business within BAESystems. The team operates across all Air products (goods andservices) providing product safety, product environmentalsustainability and product security engineering resource to allprogrammes across the business. In addition, the team delivers theindependent assurance activities associated with airworthiness,product safety, product environmental sustainability and productsecurity in a collaborative and supportive environment. Thisspecific role will be within the Initial Airworthiness domain,working in the following areas: /n /n - Development of the future6th generation fighter engaging with DE&S and the MAA to ensurethat airworthiness and product integrity in a digital environmentis delivered safely and securely, with appropriate considerationson the impact on the environment. /n - Exploitation oftechnological advancements in areas such as autonomy, artificialintelligence and the continued use of product integrity datalinking into the digital engineering environment. /n - Engagingwith international working groups in the development oflegislation, regulation and standards associated with digitalcertification, autonomy, AI, and product safety. /n /n Why BAESystems? /n This is a place where you’ll be able to make a realdifference.
