AI Platform Engineer

Location:Berlin (Hybrid) *London will also be considered for the right candidate

Salary Range:€60,000 - €80,000 dependant on experience (plus equity)

Are you an AI enthusiast looking to make a real impact in the world of healthcare? We're seeking a motivated AI Platform Engineer with a strong data engineering background to join our client, a fast-growing start-up in the AI drug discovery space.

The Company:

• Founding team are leaders in the space and have a successful track record of building similar companies.
• Early-stage biotech, utilising AI to identify and develop promising molecules in an area of significant unmet need.
• Platform is operational but now needs an experienced AI Platform Engineer to improve the infrastructure and efficiency for larger projects.

The Role:

• Collaborate with the AI team to set goals, develop plans, and create product roadmaps.
• Focus on platform scalability and interoperability (guiding strategic decisions).
• Transition machine learning models into production environments.
• Write production-quality code and maintain thorough documentation.

Key Requirements:

• Python Proficiency: Advanced skills in Python, with familiarity in TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Pandas.
• Data Management: Experience with ETL processes, data modelling, and pipeline development.
• Graph Databases: Knowledge of RDF, Neo4j, SPARQL, Cypher; relational databases is a plus.
• Machine Learning Deployment: Experience deploying models in production, especially NLP or deep learning.
• Industry Experience: Foundation life science knowledge (experience with life science data is a big a plus).
• Independent Work: Ability to work autonomously in a cross-functional team.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written English skills.
