The Opportunity
We’re looking for anAI & LLM Solutions Engineerto spearhead the integration of cutting-edge AI systems into our manuscript writing workflow. You’ll leverage Large Language Models (LLMs), data pipelines, and emerging techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to power the creation of outlines and first drafts from interview transcripts—ultimately streamlining our editorial process.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—from editorial and product to engineering and data science—to ensure that every manuscript isaccurate, compelling, and fully reflects our clients’ voices.
If you have a passion for AI, a knack for creative problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Generate a well-written manuscript, preserving client’s unique voice from a series of interview transcripts in a scalable, automated format.
- Design & Implement Advanced AI Workflows:Develop and refine our AI-assisted pipeline for creating outlines, first drafts, and sample chapters, incorporating RAG or equivalent state-of-the-art techniques to handle large volumes of transcript data and context windows.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:Stay up-to-date with the latest AI/LLM research and best practices, continually introducing relevant tools (e.g., LangChain, vector databases) and frameworks to the process.
- Tackle Hallucinations & Inaccuracies:Devise strategies (e.g., advanced prompt engineering, verification checkpoints) to minimize AI-generated factual errors and hallucinations in manuscripts.
- Capture the Client’s Voice:Implement tools and methods that embed each storyteller’s unique language and style within AI outputs, ensuring authenticity and personal resonance.
- Optimise Data Pipelines:Work on data ingestion, transformation, and management to streamline the flow of transcripts, editorial feedback, and AI outputs between our platform (Bookmaker), and LLMs.
- Enhance Scalability:Identify and implement improvements to handle large transcripts (200K+ words) and multi-threaded processes without compromising speed or quality.
- Collaborate & Communicate:Interface with editorial teams to understand feedback loops and content accuracy needs; relay technical possibilities and constraints to non-technical stakeholders.
About You
- Technical Expertise:Proven experience working with LLMs or advanced NLP frameworks; and with Python-based AI tooling and cloud-based computing environments.
- Data Pipeline Know-How:Proven experience with ETL processes, database architectures, and best practices for AI data management.
- English Fluency -As our manuscripts are produced in English, we require someone with a strong grasp and fluency in the English language
- Problem-Solver at Heart:You thrive on designing elegant solutions to complex challenges, whether it’s preventing hallucinations or ensuring accurate retrieval of a storyteller’s unique phrases.
- Collaboration & Empathy:You communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams alike, and you appreciate the deeply personal nature of the stories we help tell.
- Innovative Mindset:You’re eager to explore the latest in generative AI, retrieval techniques, and model tuning to keep our workflows best in class.
- Results-Oriented & Detail-Focused:You take pride in delivering high-quality solutions on time and within scope, balancing rapid prototyping with rigorous QA.
- Interest in creative writing and books, publishing etc
⛳️ Compensation, Perks & Benefits
