About the role In a world which changes at pace, making evidence-based decisions using reliable data and market insight becomes ever more important. Responding with agility to mitigate risk, unearth opportunities and maximise operational efficiency whilst navigating a rapidly evolving sustainability landscape is paramount. CRU creates and delivers data to help clients make these decisions. As the successful candidate, you will apply state of the art machine learning methods to a wide variety of complex tasks including: Text understanding and embedding. Large language models (LLMs) and generative AI for technology use-cases. Data mining and exploratory data analysis and visualisation. Reinforcement learning and recommendation systems. A Typical Day Contribute to the design and implementation of machine learning models and data science initiatives that power and enhance our AI capabilities. Keep updated with the latest tools, methodologies, and best practices in the field. Collaborate closely with the team and engineering stakeholders to ensure that the technical development of AI capabilities is fully aligned with the broader objectives and integrates seamlessly with existing strategic systems. Work with Product Development, Data Engineering and Governance teams to deliver quality products/services. Contribute to research and experiments to improve model performance and accuracy. You must have GCSE English & Maths 4-9 (C-A) or equivalent Skills needed Ability to work cross functionally. A high level of energy and enthusiasm. A passion for quality and innovation. A flexible and adaptable approach to work. Ability to grasp and implement learnings quickly. Ability to effectively plan and organise. Good written and verbal communication skills. Some knowledge of machine learning/ data science frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras),relevant programming languages (e.g. Python, Julia, Mojo)and experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP) are beneficial but not necessary to apply.
