The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HCPC registered dietitian with a passion for Gastroenterology! We are looking for a highly experienced and innovative dietitian to join our team. If you have excellent clinical, leadership, organisational and communication skills this could be the post for you.

As an advanced practitioner you will work with motivated advanced practice dietitians in gastroenterology, and a dietetic led coeliac service to lead in planning, organising and delivering an evidence based service to patients and further develop care pathways. The post holder will be expected to use investigative practice to evaluate clinical and operational practices of service provision.

The clinical role includes gastroenterology and medicine to acute in and outpatients as part of a large adult acute dietetic service (75wte). As an integrated acute, community and paediatric service you will work with other colleagues to ensure continuity and seamless patient centred care. We provide excellent peer support and opportunities for personal and professional development.

Applicants will have a BSc in Dietetics or equivalent, HCPC registration. You should have evidence of post graduate training to master’s level or equivalent and substantial clinical experience in this specialty. You require to demonstrate leadership with quality improvement skills to provide evidence based practice in this highly specialist area of practice and supervision of junior staff.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
