This team isresponsible for multimedia and vision oriented algorithm design,technology research, as well as next-gen Arm Multimedia SubsystemArchitecture for mobile, large screen compute and other marketsegments. We may be lookingjust for you! ## Responsibilities: * You will be part of amultimedia system architecture team, giving you the opportunity todevelop and make a relevant contribution into Arm ComputeSubsystems * The role will give you also outstanding opportunity tointeract with world class specialists and architects, both insideand outside Arm * The role offers analysing sophisticated computervision, multimedia and graphics use cases, and data paths in thecompute subsystem, and translating their functional and performanceaspects into hardware C models * As Staff Hardware ModellingEngineer you are asked for good understanding of hardwarearchitectures and data paths of multimedia accelerators (DPU, VPU),as well as the image processing algorithms realised in thoseprocessors * You will contribute to Arm Compute Subsystem (CSS)architecture definition work by developing HW models for the newarchitecture concepts and use those to conduct experiments tovalidate key multimedia use cases for image quality, andperformance ## Required Skills and Experience: * Proven experiencein hardware modelling of complex multimedia processors in CC++, orSystemC, with good grasp of different modelling approaches:bit-accurate functional models, cycle approximate, cycle accuratemodels etc. * Good understanding of various image processingalgorithms and analytical thinking approach * Experience indebugging of hardware modules in RTL functional simulation andmodelling frameworks * In depth understanding of system designtrade-offs: hardware vs. software partitioning, power, performance,memory bandwidth, latency, quality-of-service, real-time vs.non-real-time traffic * Excellent interpersonal skills and abilityto collaborate with multiple teams under ambitious schedules, witha focus on delivery of results ## Nice to Have Skills andExperience: * Technical Lead experience on hardware modellingprojects is a strong plus * Knowledge of Arm architecture, AMBAprotocol, MMU concepts * Knowledge of video compression algorithmsand hardware video accelerators ##In Return:Arm has aresponsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to liveand work in the UK.
