Working Hours: Sunday-Wednesday, 8am-6pm

At our Gunstones Bakery site in Dronfield, we produce some of the nation's favourite baked goods, including hot cross buns, brioche rolls, and iced buns, for major retailers such as Marks & Spencer, Tesco, and Aldi. With a rich history dating back to 1862, we pride ourselves on our tradition of quality and innovation, employing around 700 colleagues at our state-of-the-art facility.



About the Role


We're currently looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to join our team to work the Front-End Shift leading a team of six QA Technicians on the factory floor. You'll be the driving force behind maintaining and improving quality standards in a fast-paced, high-volume food manufacturing environment.



Key Responsibilities



  • Lead and manage a team of 6 QA Technicians covering both day and night shifts
  • Oversee daily quality assurance activities, including audits, checks, and compliance tasks
  • Maintain high standards across a range of multi-retail customers
  • Collaborate with the other QA Manager to ensure smooth handovers and continuity
  • Champion a culture of food safety, hygiene, and continuous improvement on site



About You


You are an experienced Quality Assurance Manager with a hands on leadership style who is supportive and focused on development.



Key Skills and Qualifications


Essential:



  • HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 certified
  • Demonstrable experience in food manufacturing
  • Proven experience managing a QA team in a high-volume food environment
  • Strong knowledge of internal auditing, food safety standards, and contamination control
  • Excellent communication, resilience, and a proactive mindset


Desirable:



  • Degree in a food science or related discipline
  • Experience working with multiple retail customers
  • Background in bakery or similar food production settings
