Role: IT Engineer
Location: Cardiff (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £45,000 p/annum

CPS Group is supporting a large public sector organisation in hiring an IT Engineer to join an established team responsible for maintaining the organisation's infrastructure and driving its digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions while managing, monitoring, and maintaining both on-premise and cloud platforms.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, determine root causes, apply fixes, document issues, and implement preventive measures.
  • Lead server projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Communicate IT initiatives, priorities, and progress to key stakeholders, fostering collaboration between IT and other business units.

    Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of NAS and SAN storage technologies.
  • Expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Server Technology and Hyper-V clustering.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Database Architecture
  • Business Intelligence
  • Big Data
  • Machine Learning
  • Advanced Analytics
