Hayward Hawk is delighted to be partnering with a leading international professional services firm to appoint a Data Scientist into their growing Innovation team. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation investing heavily in data science, advanced analytics, and AI to transform how services are delivered. The successful candidate will play a key role in building scalable data solutions, applying predictive modelling techniques, and embedding generative AI capabilities across the business. The Opportunity This role sits within a specialist innovation function focused on developing custom, data-driven tools that improve operational efficiency and unlock strategic insight. You will work across the full data lifecycle from extraction and transformation through to advanced modelling, visualisation, and stakeholder presentation. The position offers strong visibility across the organisation and the chance to directly influence strategic decision-making through applied analytics and AI solutions. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain data pipelines drawing from SQL databases, APIs, and structured/unstructured sources Develop predictive and prescriptive models (forecasting, regression, clustering) Design and deploy NLP-driven solutions to extract value from unstructured text Develop and implement generative AI use cases (RAG, fine-tuning, entity extraction) Create interactive dashboards and visualisations using Power BI Present insights to senior stakeholders and client-facing teams Implement data quality and governance controls Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, finance, and operational teams Contribute to ongoing AI and innovation strategy About You Experienced Data Scientist or Machine Learning professional with a track record of building data-driven solutions Strong programming skills (Python, R, or similar) and comfortable working with data from multiple sources Experienced in creating predictive models, analytics, or insights to support decision-making Familiar with working with large, complex datasets and transforming them into actionable information Exposure to data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to communicate insights effectively Curious and adaptable, interested in applying AI, machine learning, or NLP to solve real-world problems Why Apply?
