Hybrid working with UK office flexibility Clear seniority, autonomy and influence Opportunity to shape Fabric-led solutions and client strategy Strong investment in training, certifications and long-term progression

Data Architect - Pre-Sales - Microsoft Fabric - POCs - Hybrid (UK) - Up to £125,000

This is not a delivery-only Architect role.

We are looking for a senior, commercially aware Microsoft Data Architect with deep expertise across the Microsoft data stack - ideally Microsoft Fabric - to play a key role in shaping solutions, building POCs and supporting pre-sales activity as the practice continues to grow.

You'll sit close to sales and senior stakeholders, owning solution design early in the lifecycle: running discovery workshops, designing modern data platforms, preparing and presenting POCs and helping clients understand how Fabric and the wider Microsoft ecosystem can support their analytics, AI and data strategy. While you won't be expected to code day-to-day, you must be technically credible, hands-on when needed and comfortable guiding both clients and delivery teams.

This role suits someone who enjoys influence, solutioning and variety and wants autonomy, seniority and the opportunity to shape how Microsoft Fabric solutions are positioned and adopted.

What you'll be doing

  • Acting as a senior Microsoft Data & Fabric authority in pre-sales and early client engagements
  • Designing end-to-end architectures across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform and Power BI
  • Preparing and delivering POCs, demos, architecture designs, proposals and RFP responses
  • Leading discovery and whiteboard sessions with senior stakeholders and technical teams
  • Articulating value, cost, trade-offs and ROI of proposed solutions
  • Supporting and guiding delivery teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and well-architected
  • Helping grow and mature the Microsoft/Fabric practice through repeatable offerings and thought leadership

What we're looking for

  • Strong experience across the Microsoft data stack, with Microsoft Fabric ideally at the core
  • Background in pre-sales, POCs, technical workshops or client-facing solution design
  • Senior-level experience as a Data Architect, Principal Engineer or Lead Consultant
  • Strong understanding of modern data platforms (lakehouse, streaming, analytics, AI/ML enablement)
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and guiding buying decisions
  • A solutions mindset - hands-on enough to be credible, strategic enough to lead

What's on offer

  • Salary up to £125,000 depending on experience
  • Hybrid working with UK office flexibility
  • Clear seniority, autonomy and influence
  • Opportunity to shape Fabric-led solutions and client strategy
  • Strong investment in training, certifications and long-term progression

Where to Advertise AI Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise AI jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and communities that reach AI engineers, ML scientists and applied research talent in the UK. The candidate pool is small, highly informed and in demand across multiple sectors simultaneously. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that AI professionals expect — and the filtering mechanisms they rely on. Specialist platforms, direct outreach and academic channels each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by ArtificialIntelligenceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise AI roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about time-to-hire across different role types.
