Data Architect

Location: Croydon (once per week in the office)

Duration: 6-12 months initially

Clearance: Active SC clearance required

Our client, a leading organisation, is seeking a talented Data Architect to provide strategic leadership on adopting agentic AI and large language models (LLMs) across the enterprise SDLC. This is an exciting opportunity to influence cutting-edge AI integration within a dynamic environment.

What you'll be doing:

* Lead the architectural strategy for integrating autonomous agents, multi-agent workflows, and enterprise-scale LLMs.

* Define governance frameworks ensuring transparency, security, prompt governance, and responsible AI practices.

* Advise senior stakeholders on technical, organisational, and SDLC implications of agentic AI adoption.

* Collaborate with external AI providers on hosting, safety testing, versioning, and operational support models.

* Oversee architectural artefacts illustrating interactions of AI components across teams and systems.

* Mentor senior architects to develop expertise in LLM and agentic AI solutions.

* Lead governance and review forums to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

* Influence programme planning by identifying necessary process, tooling, and organisational changes for AI adoption.

What you'll bring:

* Proven experience in enterprise architecture, especially with AI and LLM integration.

* Strong understanding of AI governance, security, and responsible AI principles.

* Ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders and external partners.

* Experience mentoring and leading architectural review boards.

* Excellent communication skills and strategic thinking.

Nice to have:

* Knowledge of AI safety testing, version control, and operational support for AI systems.

* Experience working within structured SDLC environments.
