Backend Engineer

A rapidly growing, well-funded AI technology company revolutionising video intelligence through computer vision, machine learning and cloud-native technology.

They're seeking a talentedBackend Software Engineer to build and scale the core services powering their AI platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services usingGolang and Python.
• Build and optimise APIs, databases and large-scale data pipelines.
• Develop reliable distributed systems handling significant traffic and data volumes.
• Improve performance, scalability, observability and infrastructure efficiency.
• Own features end to end, collaborating with ML, frontend and infrastructure engineers.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience, ideallyGo or Python (other languages considered).
• Experience building scalable APIs, databases and distributed systems.
• Cloud experience, ideally AWS; Kubernetes, Pulumi or Grafana advantageous.
• Experience developing production systems at scale.
• Ideally a startup, scale-up or high-growth technology background.
• Strong technical ownership, problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience: 4-5+ years as a guide, with ability valued over tenure.
