AI Solutions Engineer

Our client is seeking a hands-on AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, deploy and support production-grade AI solutions within a complex professional services environment.

This is a practical engineering role for someone who enjoys working directly with business stakeholders to turn requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable AI solutions. We're looking for an individual with proven experience delivering real-world AI applications, rather than purely research, innovation or proof-of-concept work.

Responsibilities:

- Design, build, deploy and support AI-powered solutions that improve business processes, knowledge management and operational efficiency.

- Work closely with stakeholders to identify high-value use cases and integrate AI into existing workflows and systems.

- Develop and maintain AI applications, agents and automations using Microsoft AI technologies.

- Design effective prompts, grounding strategies and knowledge integrations to deliver reliable AI outputs.

- Build reusable AI components and contribute to development standards and best practices.

- Evaluate third-party AI tools and platforms, building proofs of concept and supporting build-versus-buy decisions.

- Ensure solutions are secure, explainable, auditable and compliant with relevant regulatory requirements.

- Support user adoption, testing, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required experience:

- Proven experience building and deploying AI or machine learning solutions into production environments.

- Strong experience with the Microsoft AI ecosystem, including: Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and Azure DevOps

- Software development experience, ideally using Python.

- Knowledge of JavaScript or other development languages would be advantageous.

- Strong understanding of: Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning fundamentals and Prompt engineering.

- Experience designing prompts, grounding strategies and knowledge integrations.

- Experience working with agentic AI and integrating AI capabilities into business processes and enterprise systems.

- Experience evaluating and integrating third-party AI platforms and tools.

- Good understanding of AI security, data privacy, governance, access controls and audit requirements.

- Knowledge of GDPR, EU AI Act and related compliance considerations.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and solution delivery capabilities.

In accordance with the Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, this position is advertised based upon DGH Recruitment Limited having first sought approval of its client to find candidates for this position.
