Central London (Office-Based 4-5 Days per Week)

Are you an AI Research Engineer looking to work at the forefront of large language models, agentic AI systems and computer vision, where you'll have the opportunity to build and fine-tune cutting-edge models that are transforming financial crime compliance while playing a key role in shaping the AI strategy of a rapidly growing technology business?

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious AI-driven company developing innovative solutions that help financial institutions automate complex compliance and anti-money laundering processes. Working within a highly talented team, you'll have significant ownership over AI development and the chance to directly influence product direction.

In this role, you'll be responsible for building, evaluating and improving AI systems across LLMs, agentic workflows and vision models. You'll develop benchmarks and evaluation frameworks, fine-tune foundation models, build custom AI models and create automated feedback loops to continuously improve performance. You'll work closely with engineering and product teams to deliver robust AI solutions that solve real-world compliance challenges.

The ideal candidate will have experience within AI research or AI engineering, including hands-on work with LLMs, model fine-tuning and agentic systems. Experience with computer vision, model evaluation frameworks and MLOps practices would be highly beneficial. The Role:

Build, evaluate and optimise LLM, agentic AI and computer vision systems

Fine-tune and train custom AI models for specialist compliance applications

Develop benchmarks, back testing frameworks and evaluation pipelines

Implement continuous improvement loops using human feedback and model iteration

Work closely with engineering and product teams to deliver AI-driven featuresThe Person:

3+ years' experience in AI Research, Machine Learning or AI Engineering

Strong experience with LLMs, prompt engineering and model fine-tuning

Experience building, testing or deploying agentic AI systems

Knowledge of model evaluation, benchmarking and MLOps best practices
