Vickerstock are working in partnership with an industry leading food manufacturing business on the appointment of a Logistics and Warehouse Manager on a full-timer permanent basis. As the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you will join as a senior member of the company overseeing a very busy and challenging remit, responsible for the warehouse and logistics functions. You will manage a team of over 15 staff and will provise strong leadership to them as well as assisting with their development. You will improve efficiency pertaining to logistics and distribution, meeting customer requirements OTIF. In your new role: Manage financial budgets effectively to optimise efficiencies, minimize waste, maximize yield, and control labour costs. Oversee logistics, transportation, and distribution to ensure seamless operations that meet customer demands. Collaborate with third-party transport providers to enhance supply chain performance and drive cost-effective solutions. Ensure inventory accuracy, effective stock control, and optimal space utilisation to maintain operational efficiency. Lead and develop a high-performing team operating within a 24/7 rotating shift pattern, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Drive a strong focus on continuous improvement by initiating and implementing process enhancement projects to boost efficiency and productivity. Track and analyse departmental KPIs, challenging the team to achieve ongoing improvements and operational excellence. Engage in daily communication with various departments-including Commercial, Finance, Warehousing, Transport, IT, Health & Safety, Facilities, and HR-to ensure seamless coordination and effective decision-making. Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills are essential.
