***This role is hybrid & does require to be in our London office 3 days a week in order to fulfill the needs of the role and support our team.***

Primary Objectives:

Revenue Generation and Growth Strategic Planning and Forecasting Portfolio Management Performance Analysis and Reporting Team Collaboration and Cross-Departmental Collaboration Team Development and Meetings

Detailed Job Duties:

Revenue Generation and Growth

Develop and implement sales strategies that leverage market research to capture new opportunities and expand client relationships. Engage with key clients to understand their needs and position the company's services effectively. Lead/Participate in key sales calls and meetings to close deals and advance sales processes. Work with existing sales to help strategize new business opportunities Work with Account Director (and team) to find expansion opportunities

Strategic Planning and Forecasting

Set and refine annual and monthly sales targets based on market analysis and industry trends. Utilize industry knowledge and market insights to identify new opportunities and plan resource allocation. Lead weekly sales strategy sessions to adapt to market dynamics and client feedback.

Client Portfolio Management

Maintain and enhance key client relationships, focusing on retention and satisfaction. Conduct monthly reviews of key accounts to identify opportunities for upselling and deeper engagement. Develop long-term client strategies, integrating advanced market research services.

Performance Analysis and Reporting

Apply market research insights to refine sales strategies and enhance pitches. Communicate market trends to the sales team to inform their activities. Review and report on sales performance, making adjustments to align with goals and market conditions. Prepare reports for the executive team, highlighting successes, challenges, and strategic changes.

Team Collaboration

Provide real-time coaching and solutions to the sales team during live sales situations. Collaborate with other departments, particularly market research, to align sales strategies with the latest insights.

Team Development and Meetings

Lead and mentor the sales and account management teams, ensuring they are equipped with the latest market research and sales techniques. Conduct sales training sessions on market trends and sales strategies. Hold weekly team sales meetings to review targets, achievements, and areas for improvement. Hold weekly 1:1 with Rep and Account Managers to review individual targets, achievements, and areas for improvement.

Success for aVP, Sales (EMEA) in the market research industry is demonstrated through consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets, maintaining high client retention rates, and receiving positive feedback. The VP, Sales will need to have both extensive player + coach experience. As a player, experience building and maintaining a book of business is critical. This experience will allow you to more successfully work with the sales team on sales strategy, prospecting, communication, pricing and feasibility questions. Within the coach capacity expectations, a successful VP, Sales will have experience managing a sales team of 5+ members. It also involves leading a sales team that achieves its goals and grows professionally, while effectively collaborating across departments to integrate market research insights into impactful sales strategies. Additionally, the role requires maintaining high operational efficiency, upholding regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive organizational culture.

The MUST Haves:

Eight or more (8+) years of proven experience in sales leadership, specifically within market research or a closely related industry. Proven success building and maintaining a book of business Expertise in managing international sales, with an understanding of global market trends and cultural nuances. Strong knowledge of market research methodologies and data analysis to drive sales strategies. Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams. Strategic planning and execution skills for achieving both short-term and long-term sales goals. Advanced sales techniques tailored to the market research industry. Exceptional client relationship management and negotiation skills. Strong networking abilities to build and maintain industry relationships and client portfolios. Effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives. Proficiency in delivering compelling presentations and pitches to diverse audiences. Competence in using statistical and analytical tools relevant to market research and sales. Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and sales techniques. Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients, attend industry events, and lead field sales teams.

The Nice to Haves:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is preferred. Courses or certifications in data science, analytics, or digital marketing that complement the core market research skills. Active involvement in industry associations and regular participation in industry-specific conferences and workshops. Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms that can enhance online sales strategies. Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce or HubSpot, essential for tracking client interactions and sales progress.
