Working with volunteers and local communities, you’ll be making a vital contribution to the Trust’s cause of protecting and caring for places so that people and nature can thrive – now and into the future.You may involve managing volunteers. April.What it's like to work hereReporting to the Senior Volunteering & Community Officer, you'll join the Volunteering and Community team to support volunteering at the National Trust Bath properties, which include Dyrham Park, Prior Park Landscape Garden, Bath Skyline, Bath Assembly Rooms and Bathampton Meadows. You'll be based in an office at Dyrham Park for 2-3 days per week, with 1-2 days each month at the Prior Park office and the option to occasionally work from home as well. Although there will be certain events and meetings you’ll need to attend throughout the year, there can be a certain amount of flexibility in your working hours in this role, which can be discussed at interview.With a growing number and variety of volunteer teams as well as recently acquired places and projects, it’s an exciting time to join us. The Volunteering and Community team work together to meet the needs of the Bath properties, and ensure positive, flexible, inclusive and safe experiences for everyone who volunteers with us.What you'll be doingAs our Volunteering and Community Officer, you'll be supporting with volunteer recruitment, management, communications and growing support. You'll help lead induction sessions for new volunteers, provide support for volunteer managers, improve volunteer processes, update and share guidance, and help to make volunteering more attractive and accessible to different audiences.You'll provide administrative support, including maintaining and updating our volunteer database and online volunteering resources, and help to manage effective volunteer communication. Working with the wider team, you'll help us to deliver a long-term plan for volunteer participation and engagement across the Bath properties.You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached.
