NTT DATA is currently looking for aTest Automation Engineer - Banking remote for our growing team in the UK.

Responsibilities and duties

Responsible for automating the testing within the DevOps pipeline driving a culture of continuous improvement Must understand concepts such as Continuous Delivery, TDD & BDD, code coverage metrics Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable Continuous Delivery, TDD & BDD, code coverage metrics

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Deep knowledge in Test automation Familiarity with common testing frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, QTP/UFT Previous experience with JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, Github Experience with IntelliJ IDEA or similar Any experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle, etc. Any previous experience with Java preferred Experience in manual software testing, e.g. exploratory testing Good knowledge and understanding of application architecture Excellent understanding of methodology (Agile, Waterfall) Experience in preparing Test Case/Test Plan Able to communicate technical issues or requirements clearly and effectively Exposure to API Testing (specialized in testing and validating XML, XSD, XPath Syntax, Web Services, MQ, Topics, REST, HTTP, SOAP Messaging Should have experience in UI and API/REST Assured Automation Hands on experience on REST Assured/JUnit Framework for API testing Good understanding of REST API types (GET, PUT, POST, DELETE) and its working Good understanding of HTTP, JSON protocol and syntax Good understanding of Message Schema, RAML, Message Request-Response mechanism Strong written and verbal communication skills Banking/Financial Services experience preferred
