We’ll broaden your horizons The Technology RiskAssurance (TRA) team sits right at the heart of the Audit practice.We leverage our deep technical expertise to evaluate the risksassociated with the use of technology for businesses in a number ofsectors - from Consumer Markets, Retail, Technology Media &Telecoms, Natural Resources, Energy & Shipping and FinancialServices. We use data analytics procedures to look for trends,anomalies and also understand IT and business processes whilstidentifying the risks. It’s exciting and interesting work that caninclude evaluating risks around emerging technologies such asBlockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics ProcessAutomation (RPA) as well as cyber related risks. As part of our TRAteam, you'll receive all the support you need to reach yourpotential and build your technical skills. We’ll help you succeedThe work we do is underpinned by quality. We deliver audits whichare trusted and transparent which can be relied upon by companiesand their stakeholders. You’ll be someone who is comfortableworking pro-actively and, managing your own tasks, as well asconfident collaborating with others and communicating regularlywith Senior Managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners. You’ll helpdeliver accurate and transparent reporting to all relevantstakeholders as you provide long term value. You’ll be someonewith: - Strong Technical Skills: A track record of developing ITGeneral Controls reviews across both simple and complex entities. -Excellent Communications Skills: Ability to keep IT Audit Seniors,Managers and Audit colleagues up to date with status, findings andthe implications from the IT audit work. Escalating at the righttime is essential to ensuring challenges are dealt with early -Managing project timelines, budgets and deliverables also importantto the outcomes, along with performing and preparing high qualitydeliverables - Professional Qualification: Study support to obtainCertified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), which is affiliatedwith the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).- Use your insights and knowledge to help BDO develop new solutionsand initiatives that reflect the changing pace of technology andthe technologies of the future - Understand and document systemsenvironments relevant to the audited financial statements -Identify and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness ofcontrols for managing risks around information security, changemanagement, computer operations, and system design and development- Provide advice on how to improve their control environments,reduce risk and optimise operating efficiency. The duration of theSemi-Senior programme is 12-24 months, dependent on prior IT auditexperience. Technical Skills - Experience of IT general controlsreviews in support of external audit engagements which includesunderstanding the implications of control deficiencies andapproaches to test risk materialization. - Experience of ITapplication control reviews in support of external auditengagements which includes knowledge of appropriate testingmethodologies for key financial cycles, including but not limitedto – Revenue, Purchases and Stock (Desirable) - Experience ofsupporting external audits companies in a wide range of sectors,including but not limited to - retail, manufacturing, gaming,financial services, technology, public or professional services(Desirable) - Experience of auditing ERP packages such SAP, Oracle& Dynamics AX (Desirable) You’ll be able to be yourself; we’llrecognise and value you for who you are and celebrate and rewardyour contributions to our business.
