The Work You'll Do:

The Regulatory Liaison Counsel - ISVs and Embedded Partners will play a critical role in supporting and growing Sovos’ global ISV ecosystem and revenue stream by engaging with the Sovos partner ecosystem and supporting their needs as they look to Sovos for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in their solution portfolios and customer implementations. This position combines the expertise of a Regulatory Counsel, requiring deep knowledge and ongoing involvement in the processes of the Regulatory Analysis and Design Department, with the role of a liaison officer dedicated to facilitating partners’ access to the broader regulatory function within Sovos. • Act as an integral part of the Regulatory Analysis and Design Department, internalizing contextual and factual knowledge that allows the Regulatory Liaison Counsel to act as independently as possible in their key role towards Sovos partners while also maintaining an excellent understanding of roles, responsibilities, and time allocation for partner support within the larger Regulatory Analysis and Design Department.
  • Support the VP of Regulatory Analysis and Design and their teams to ensure optimization of resources in support of all relevant Sovos functions and help them with time and resource planning towards that goal.
  • Explain complex tax rules in clear language for both tax and non-tax professionals, internally and externally.
  • Support Partner Marketing by providing tax-centric marketing material and participating in webinars.
  • In collaboration with Sovos Marketing and partner management functions, participate as a Sovos regulatory thought leader and subject matter expert in Partner events, advisory boards, and publications.
